As well as organising our own courses held in classrooms at Anglia Ruskin University, The British International School has also set up partnerships with accredited English schools for the delivery of English language courses. All partner schools are selected for their teaching quality, experienced staff, and supportive learning environments. The welcoming atmosphere, combined with small groups and attentive tutors, ensures that each student receives individual support throughout their stay.

All schools are conveniently located within easy reach of the accommodation options we provide, and at the end of their course every student receives a certificate of attendance confirming the English level achieved.

Our Host Families

Staying with a host family is an excellent way for students to experience British culture while practising English in a natural and friendly environment. All host families are selected for their warm hospitality and are regularly monitored to ensure high standards of safety and comfort. Students are placed in double, triple or quadruple rooms, with shared bathrooms, while group leaders stay in single rooms with access to shared facilities.

Host families are located in residential areas around Cambridge, typically about twenty-five-thirty minutes from the city. Accommodation can be arranged on either a half-board or full-board basis, and all students have access to free Wi-Fi and weekly laundry service.


Our Hotels

For groups preferring hotel accommodation, BIS works with the Premier Inn Cambridge East (Newmarket Road) and the Travelodge Cambridge Newmarket Road. Both hotels offer comfortable, modern rooms and excellent service, making them a convenient choice for student groups. Students stay in twin rooms, while group leaders are accommodated in single or twin rooms depending on availability.

Breakfast is provided at the hotel each morning, while lunch and dinner arrangements vary according to the programme. The hotels are located close to local services and amenities, offering a practical and comfortable base for exploring the city.
